Let me first state that I never want to sell this car...well, never say never, but I don't have ANY plans to do so. Mayyyyyyybe if I were to get a TT and swap over 85% of the parts, I'd do it...but I doubt it. Especially if I end up getting the new Z instead of a TT. Anyway, I was/am (I'm logged on from here LOL) at a jobsite today configuring Exchange and setting up some stuff. The V.P. of sales (young guy despite being a VP) was just dying over my car. He seems to know some stuff about the Z as he knew the whole 96 thing about TT's having 280HP, and he knew about the recall. I gather someone in his family owned one at some point. I let him know it wasn't the turbo and he didn't care. He kept going on and on about the paint (which I'm sure was redone at some point on the car because it's too nice) and the interior. Basically, after 30 minutes of gawking and a quick run around the block (at 12 degrees of timing mind you), he offered me 15K for it. Damn... Truth be told, I bought it for 12K with a LOT less miles...and the mods were a lot more on top of that. But we all know mods don't always = money. It's still a lot of cash for a 91 NA. The thing that keeps bugging me is that I don't need the money to get a TT. I don't know what's wrong with me...I've driven Zo's White TT, rode in plenty of fast ones and wrenched on them. But for whatever reason I'm not going ALL OUT to get one right now. I'm not that excited about it. When a friend gets a TT (and many have recently) I don't find myself at all envious anymore. Am I nuts? Is the force getting weak? What the hell is wrong with me. I have the cash, I could have even MORE cash, but I'm just content right now with what I've got. I think if I sold the damn 2+2 the TT envy would SHOOT up because I'd have NO Z at all. Bah. I need a vacation. Anyway, the question I have for y'all is what do you guys think (in all honesty) my 2+2 is worth. Take it ALL into account (almost 100K miles)...it's clean as a whistle to this day and will be running proper timing when I get my radiator/water pump/etc done. Someone would be the owner of a completely tricked out car that's faster than 85% of the cars out there instead of 95% with a TT. Here's my profile. It's up to date, but the pics are NOT.
91 2+2 I guess I want to know, just in case...I know I wouldn't sell it to this guy because I'd NEED a TT before I could sell this car...for work and because I have to drive a sweet car of some sort (even if it is lacking turbos). Thanks for listening to me rant a little...guess I should get back to work? I'm charging $150/hr for this LOL.
